Platinum catalyst silicone compound that can be easily mixed and applied by hand to a variety of surfaces. Applications include making fast mold impressions, orthotics / orthopedic, equine hoof repair, jewelry making and more. Food safe and suitable for making baking molds, casting butter, ice, chocolate and other applications used to produce food. High heat (for casting low-temperature melt metal alloys), and high tear resistant. This product is mixed by hand. If wearing gloves is desired, wear Vinyl Gloves only. Latex gloves will inhibit the cure of the rubber.
Although not usually necessary, a release agent (Ease Release 200) will make demolding easier. Usually, putty molds will be too thin to support themselves during casting. A support shell made of Plasti-Paste II or DuoMatrix Neo and chopped fibers can be applied over the mold surface.
