Soft two-component platinum silicone casting foam, versatile and easy to use. Can be used for a variety of industrial and special effects applications including making foam filled appliances, padding/seat cushioning, prosthetic orthotics/orthopedics and medical devices, potting and encapsulation of electrical circuits and vibration dampening. UV, water and high heat resistant (up to 350°F / 176°C), and resistant to oxidation and ozone degradation meaning it offers overall longevity for many applications and will not dry out and crumble over time. Use in combination with platinum silicone rubber to create special effects masks, body suits, etc... Cured foam is soft, pliable and strong.
Easy to color (using Silc Pig) and capable of capturing fine texture and, for projects that require extremely fine detail, foams can be encapsulated by and bond to Smooth-On Platinum silicone rubbers like Dragon Skin to produce lightweight pieces like masks, props, and medical training devices.
