Platinum water white translucent silicone rubber that cures at room temperature with negligible shrinkage and feature high tensile and tear strength. Rubber clarity is especially useful when extracting models via cutting. Ideal for making prototype, jewelry or other molds of any configuration where model visibility is important. Materials such as urethane, epoxy or polyester resins can be cast into Sorta-Clear. Although not usually necessary, a release agent (Ease Release 200) will make demolding easier. Can be colored with Silc Pig silicone pigments. Adding Plat-Cat cure accelerator will reduce demold time. Sorta Clear 40 is Food Safe and can be used for culinary applications including casting chocolate and other confections.
